After taking off thirty minutes late in Fortaleza-CE as scheduled, the ED Force One landed in São Paulo thirty minutes later than estimated and under heavy rain! And to add a touch to that moment, the band's vocalist Bruce Dickinson was the one who landed the aircraft at GRU Airport.

About Ed Force One


For The Book of Souls tour, the band Iron Maiden chartered the Boeing 747-400 aircraft with registration TF-AAK, which belongs to the Icelandic-based Air Atlanta Icelandic airline.

Popularly known as the “jumbo”, the aircraft gained success from appearing in movie scenes, the four-engined jet earned its nickname and was named by band and Ed Force One fans.

Ed Force One owns the Boeing 32868 / LN:1325 manufacturing serial and was manufactured in 2003 performing its first flight on March 5, 2003. On March 31, 2003, the aircraft was delivered to the commercial airline Air France operating under F-GITH registration until October 2015! Thus, retired by the French airline. From October to December 2015, the aircraft was stored on the ground without performing any type of operation. On December 21, 2015, the jumbo was acquired by Air Atlanta Icelandic receiving the current registration that ED Force One operates TF-AAK for its 2016 tour.
